Scam: MITI Did Not Issue A Letter Regarding "Sokongan Untuk Program Bekalan Bahan Kimia Penggerudian Telaga Minyak Untuk Kerja Carigali Petronas di Pengkalan Bekalan Tok Bali, Pasir Putih, Kelantan"

The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has received a complaint regarding a letter dated 28 January 2018 addressed to Tyron Offshore Sdn. Bhd. with the subject "Sokongan Untuk Program Bekalan Bahan Kimia Penggerudian Telaga Minyak Untuk Kerja Carigali Petronas di Pengkalan Bekalan Tok Bali, Pasir Putih, Kelantan”.

The letter signed by Ahmad Farizan Bin Abdul Rashid, purportedly a Senior Secretary to YB Minister of MITI, used MITI’s obsolete letter head with the old MITI office address. It also contained spelling errors and made reference to file reference numbers not in MITI's records.

MITI would like to inform that it has not issued such a letter, and that letter has been falsified. In addition, the undersigned Ahmad Farizan Bin Abdul Rashid, is not known nor employed by MITI.
