Strong domestic demand and a steady recovery in global trade helped deliver a strong turnaround in 2010. The Minister emphasised that private sector will continue to assume the main role of driving the nation’s economic growth. To facilitate private sector’s participation, MITI will continue its efforts to improve business environment by introducing more pro-business policies and reviewing existing rules and regulations. MITI’s highest priority is to improve the nation’s overall economic competitiveness. Both the Government and private sector will have to work together to ensure that Malaysia remains a viable player in the global economic market place.
