On the 9th March 2022, The Ministry of International Trade and Industry launched the New Investment
Policy (NIP) Walkabout, which acted as a platform to obtain public and private stakeholders’ inputs on
its latest findings and recommendations. Senior Minister, YB Azmin Ali spent the afternoon engaging in
one-to-one discussions with participants, touching on topics such as feasibility of recommendations
and potential methods to accelerate implementation. Topics discussed varied from national to
sector-level recommendations, with focus on driving reforms across fundamental investment drivers.
This includes the need for a renewed National Investment strategy, a set of globally competitive
incentives, world-class talent, accelerated innovation, and many more.
