This is to inform that the Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM) is once again jointly collaborating with institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) to bring the 3rd Hazards Asia Pacific Symposium to the South East Asia and the Asia Pacific regions. The symposium will be held between April 21-23, 2015 at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
It will be an essential forum for international experts and safety professionals to discuss the latest developments and share examples of best practices on the challenges faced by chemical process operations in the Asia Pacific region.
The 2nd Hazards Asia Pacific Symposium held in April last year, was a great success with participation of approximately 230 delegates. The symposium featured significant keynote contributions from Asia (Malaysia, China and Korea), Europe and the US; plus a twin track technical programme containing more than 40 peer-reviewed papers; which highlighted the importance of exchanging knowledge, learning from past mistakes and sharing of best practices on safety and process management.
The theme for the 3rd Hazards Asia Pacific Symposium will be“Building Sustainable Operations and Processes”. It will consist of plenary and parallel sessions spanning over 3 days; discussing areas concerning human factors, safety control systems, mechanical integrity, mindset & behavior, sustainability, safety as “value”, process safety management for SMEs and logistics.
