Industry 4.0 Seminar

Industry 4.0 Seminar

We have witnessed previous industrial revolutions making mass production possible and bringing digital capabilities to billions of people. Now, we are at the dawn of the Fourth Industrial Revolution where new technologies are fusing the physical, digital and biological worlds, creating ripples of disruption to economies and industries. Governments will increasingly face pressure to change their existing approach to remain relevant. The time is now for government officials to come together to shape a future that works for all by constantly evolving and adapting to a new, dynamic environment while collaborating closely with industries and civil society.

The Ministry of International Trade (MITI) would like to invite government officials from all ministries, agencies and state governments to join in the conversation on the Government’s role in driving Industry 4.0:

End of Session

Increasingly sophisticated digital technologies of Industry 4.0 are enabling changes in production; goods are integrating with services, customers are interacting with producers, and artificial intelligence complements human intelligence.

Yet, many Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) have not yet mastered the third industrial revolution – electronics, IT and automated production. While struggling with day-to-day survival, it is essential that SME also seize these new opportunities.

To achieve a high degree of agility and efficiency, innovative capabilities and high content of industrial value creation, SME need to adapt their business model to the international network via broad deployment of technology. Real implementation has to happen so that SMEs are ready to capitalise on the opportunities arising from future scenario. Whoever that does not get on board the Industry 4.0 agenda will soon be left behind. However, SMEs can proceed gradually by first overcoming the ‘digital anxiety’. Let’s start the movement at this Industry 4.0 Seminar session dedicated to SMEs:
