Courtesy Visit On Deputy Secretary General (Management & Investment), MITI By The Ministry Of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board, Republik Of Indonesia (BKPM) [September 19, 2023]
YBhg. Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, Deputy Secretary General (Management & Investment), MITI received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Nurul Ichwan, Deputy Minister for Investment Promotion, Ministry of Investment, Investment Coordinating Board, Republic of Indonesia (BKPM) and delegation.
During Bapak Nurul Ichwan’s inaugural visit to MITI, both parties discussed strengthening bilateral investment promotion cooperation and trade relations, with a view toward executing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on Cooperation in Investment Promotion which was signed on 8 June 2023.
Malaysia and Indonesia have enjoyed a robust trade and investment relationship, underpinned by close geographical ties. In 2022, Indonesia is Malaysia’s 2nd largest trading partner in ASEAN, and the 6th largest globally.
