The ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) Implementation Support Program (AISP), in collaboration with Regional Trade for Development (RT4D), is currently conducting an engaging Workshop on Full Cumulation for AANZFTA’s Rules of Origin (ROO). This dynamic event is being held in Kuala Lumpur from November 30 to December 1, 2023, via hybrid mode that brings together 85 participants from ASEAN Member States, Australia, and New Zealand.

Over the course of two days, the sessions promise a vibrant exchange of experiences among the Parties about the practicalities of implementing cumulation provisions across various Free Trade Agreements. The program includes a Scoping Study presentation by a consultant and discussions on the Guidelines to Implement Full Cumulation.

This workshop serves as a pivotal capacity-building effort, fostering a deeper understanding among the Parties regarding the full cumulation provision under the ROO of the recently signed AANZFTA upgrade. MITI stands committed to providing assistance and cooperation to the AISP Program, championing regional economic integration and facilitating seamless trade among the involved Parties.
