Look East Policy Malaysia- Korea Business Summit [November 27, 2023]
27 November 2023, Kuala Lumpur - The 40th Anniversary of the Look East Policy Anniversary between Malaysia and the Republic of Korea Wraps Up!
This year-long celebration marked its finale with a Business Summit aimed at fostering collaboration and identifying new avenues for cooperation and partnerships between the two nations.
The Summit was officiated by Madam Mastura Ahmad Mustafa, Deputy Secretary General (International Trade) MITI. In her remarks, she praised the collaboration and urged Korean firms to tap into Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030.
Summit Highlights:
- Presentations on NIMP 2030 by MITI and insights from the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET) on Korea’s industrial development.
- Engaging panel discussions featuring public and private sector representatives from both countries.
- MOU exchanged between KOCHAM and NCCIM for talent development and network establishment.
- ESG Awards presented to Samsung SDI Malaysia and SK Nexilis for exemplary ESG management, promoting best practices.
The summit marks a major milestone for the Look East Policy, reinforcing the robust relationship between Malaysia and the Republic of Korea.
