On 22 September 2008, the Government initiated an administrative review on anti-dumping measure based on a request filed by Malaysian Newsprint Industries Sdn. Bhd. which produces newsprint in rolls.
The Government has now completed the administrative review investigation and confirmed the likelihood of continuation or recurrence of dumping and continuation of injury to the domestic industry if the anti-dumping duties are removed. Hence the anti-dumping measure currently imposed on imports of newsprint in rolls originating in or exported from Canada, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of the Philippines and the United States of America will be continued at these rates:
