Functions

1. Facilitate and develop priorities and focus of the Ministry through Brainstorming session and Outcome Based Budgeting (Planning Module).

2. Conduct studies and research related to industry, investment, international trade and productivity.

3. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of Good Regulatory Practices (GRP) in Malaysia.

4. Provide strategic inputs for development projects under Malaysia Plan.

5. Provide and publish data and statistics related to trade, investment, industry and productivity through publications of MITI Annual Report, MITI Weekly Bulletin and Trade & Economic Information Booklet.
