Kindly be advised that the Secretariat is currently reviewing the Commodity Classification Assessment online submission platform and will update the process improvement in order to effectively facilitate exporters.   Pursuant to that, the online submission for Commodity Classification Assessment via the online form at STA Portal will be temporarily inaccessible from Friday, 22 January 2021 until further notice.

In the meantime, Malaysian exporter may submit inquiry on Strategic Goods Commodity Classification (case to case basis)** and to enclose the complete required information related to the export activity which shall include the Product Name, Product Technical Specification/Technical Drawings/MSDS, end-use of the item, the end-user(s) (importer), information on transit/transhipment (if any) and accompanied with picture/images of the commodity (if relevant) to admin.sts@miti.gov.my. The Secretariat will respond to the designated exporter via the registered email in due course.
