Ministry of International Trade and Industry plans to actively pursue the Strategic Trade Control establishment called the Malaysia Strategic Trade Control Community or acronym as MySTCC [pronounce as ‘mystic’]. Currently Malaysia has no single entity that focuses on export control matters other than Strategic Trade Secretariat (STS), MITI. MySTCC is meant to create a pool of industry players, researchers or organisations that deal with strategic items that can provide advisory role and support on matters related to strategic trade management to the public.

MySTCC will gather like-minded experts to find ways to make trade as simple as possible (not impeding trade security) and also to increase awareness on STA 2010 to the Malaysian public. In the long run, MySTCC will provide more opportunities for companies to expand their businesses and make strategic trade management as one of the prospective career fields in the market.  MySTCC is not just about Malaysia or STA 2010 but also to market our industry players internationally through the networking.

MITI will spearhead the public-private partnership establishment to drive and grow MySTCC together, with the private sector taking the lead in the future. The establishment will be shaped according to the needs of the industry, academia and its members.  There is opportunity for MySTCC to play a greater role in research, provide services for industries as well as research institutions and represent Malaysia in supporting international cooperation. Experts are provided with greater opportunity to impart knowledge with niche expertise at the regional and international level.  With the unveiling of MySTCC during the 10th Anniversary celebration, Malaysia hopes to pool both experts from the public and private sector who will become Strategic Trade Ambassadors and Leaders in the region.
