BANGI, March 2 (Bernama) -- Kedah-born graduates should use knowledge acquired during their term in campus and contribute towards the development of their state upon their return said deputy minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir. The Jerlun Member of Parliament who opened the Malam Darul Aman organised by Universtiti Kebangsaan Malaysia here tonight, said Kedah had vast potential to be tapped and that its people were the state's biggest asset.

"When graduates return to their state after graduation, they would contribute to their state. And this would help to uplift Kedah to a better economy driven state," he said.

He added that education can help Kedah climb out of the poverty line.
