The Internal Compliance Programme (ICP) is a set of procedures undertaken by companies on a voluntary basis to ensure compliance to strategic trade control. It provides an assurance and greater confidence to authorities and trading partners that the ICP companies are doing their due diligence to ensure the peaceful use of their products or technology.
The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) provides facilitation to companies with ICP to apply for bulk and multiple-use permits under the Strategic Trade Act 2010 (STA 2010). It allows companies to enjoy a type of blanket approval for 2 years for exportation of strategic items to countries that are not restricted or prohibited.
Here is the list of companies accorded with ICP status under STA 2010. MITI encourages more companies to apply for ICP to enjoy the benefits and facilitations provided by the Government for a smooth and secure trading environment.
