On 14 October 2010, the Government of Malaysia initiated an administrative review on anti-dumping measure imposed on imports ofpolyethylene terephthalate originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Korea and Thailand. A request for an administrative review was received from one of the domestic producers of the product.
The Government has now completed the investigation and has confirmed the likelihood of continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the Malaysian domestic industry with respect of imports of polyethylene terepthalate originating or exported from Thailand, if the anti-dumping duties were removed.
