MakeITwork’ is the first reality TV series of its kind in Malaysia designed to help local SMEs realise the potential of using IT in their businesses. Launched by Y.B. Dato’ Mukhriz Mahathir, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry on 25 November 2009, the series is a collaborative effort by Microsoft, HP and DiGi, supported by MITI and SME Corp.
‘MakeITwork’ features ten recent business make-over projects involving promising local SMEs, who are provided funds for their IT facilities and guidance in formulating comprehensive business plans. It also showcases how Malaysian SMEs could leverage on the most current and advanced technology solutions available today. This will assist SMEs to realise technology’s role as a business enabler in achieving increased productivity and managing costs more efficiently.

As the chair for ASEAN in 2015, Malaysia has initiated a unique opportunity to engage its future talent, and provide a broader perspective on the role of ASEAN.
Over 150 students, government representatives and employers attended the official launching of the MY ASEAN Internship programme at Sunway University on Monday.
MY ASEAN Internship is a collaboration between the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), which seeks to increase overall awareness on ASEAN among the youth in Malaysia.
The initiative targets 100 high-achieving students in 2015 to intern at one of the leading partner organisations which have business operations in one or more ASEAN countries.
